Adobeの「Project Turntable」は、2Dベクターイラストを3Dのように回転させる革新的な技術です。このプロジェクトは、2024年10月14日から16日にかけて開催されたAdobe MAXイベントで発表されました。具体的には、ユーザーが2Dのイラストを選択し、「Generate Views」ボタンをクリックすることで、異なる角度からのビューを生成できます。スライダーを使って視点を調整することも可能で、これによりイラストがまるで3Dオブジェクトのように見える効果が得られます。

この技術は、単にイラストを回転させるだけでなく、AIが見えない部分を自動的に補完する機能も備えています。たとえば、馬のイラストが回転する際には、足が2本しか描かれていない場合でも、AIが4本の足を描き加えることができます。このようにして、クリエイターはよりリアルな表現を実現できるのです。
